Nomad & Grace – Made to Order Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Nomad & Grace. The following terms apply to all made-to-order purchases. Please read them carefully, as placing an order confirms your acceptance of these conditions.
Order Confirmation & Production
All made-to-order items are considered final sale once production has commenced. Full payment is required at the time of purchase. If you need to make changes or cancel your order, we offer a 48-hour grace period from the time of placing your order. After this window, no alterations, cancellations, or refunds can be processed. To cancel within the grace period, please email us at info@nomadandgrace.co.za.
Production & Delivery Timeline
Lead times listed on product pages refer only to the production period and do not include transit. Please allow an additional 1–3 weeks for delivery depending on your location. If your order includes multiple items with different lead times, the full order will be dispatched once all items are complete and ready to ship.
Materials & Finishes
Our products are handmade using natural materials and finishes. As such, variations are to be expected. Fabric colours may vary slightly between dye lots, and wood finishes—applied by hand—may exhibit up to a 10% tone difference. We strongly recommend ordering fabric or finish samples prior to confirming your order to ensure satisfaction with your selection.
Measurements & Fit
As our pieces are handcrafted, there may be slight dimensional variations of up to ±5 cm. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all items can fit through access points including doors, staircases, elevators, and hallways at the delivery location. If an item cannot be delivered due to access limitations, a 20% restocking fee may be charged, subject to approval, and return courier costs will be the customer's responsibility.
Quality & Delivery Inspection
Every item is carefully inspected before leaving our studio. Upon delivery, customers must inspect all items before signing any courier documentation. If damage is noted, it must be reported immediately to the driver and clearly indicated on the delivery paperwork. All damages must be reported to us at info@nomadandgrace.co.za within 24 to 48 hours. Claims submitted later or without delivery documentation may be declined. We take full responsibility for any damage or defects confirmed as a manufacturing fault.
Nomad & Grace – Shipping Policy (South Africa)
At Nomad & Grace, we prioritise safe, secure, and timely delivery. This shipping policy outlines our delivery timelines, methods, and conditions for different product types and locations across South Africa.
General Shipping Information
In-stock items are shipped within 2 to 4 business days following payment confirmation. Made-to-order and Ready to Ship items are dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks, with delivery requiring an additional 2 to 5 business days in urban areas and up to 7 days in remote locations. Please note that these timeframes are estimates and may be impacted by load shedding, courier delays, or external disruptions.
Tracking & Communication
Once dispatched, your order tracking information will be emailed to you. Please monitor your parcel’s journey and ensure someone is available to accept delivery. It is your responsibility to ensure the delivery address is correct and accessible.
Missing, Stolen, or Damaged Deliveries
Inspect all items upon delivery. If your order is damaged, missing, or defective, notify us within 48 hours at info@nomadandgrace.co.za. Orders delivered to receiving warehouses or third parties must be inspected upon arrival, as we are not liable for issues reported after sign-off. Nomad & Grace is not responsible for parcels that are marked as delivered but are missing or stolen from your premises.
Furniture Deliveries
Furniture requires special handling. Before placing an order, please ensure that the item will fit through doorways, staircases, lifts, and other access points. Once your furniture is ready, our team will arrange a delivery window (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm). Rural areas may face longer delivery lead times. If an item cannot be delivered and must be returned due to fit issues, a 20% restocking fee will apply (subject to approval), and the item must be in its original packaging. Delivery must be signed for, and any visible damage noted and reported with supporting photos within 24 hours.
White Glove Delivery
White Glove delivery is available in select metro areas. It includes a two-person delivery team, in-room placement (up to one flight of stairs), and packaging removal. It does not include assembly or removal of existing furniture. Please ensure the space is prepared for delivery. If delivery is to a complex or building with specific insurance or access requirements, these must be communicated in advance, or the delivery may be limited to ground-level drop-off.
Artwork Shipping
Unframed artwork is shipped at a flat rate of R600 across South Africa. Oversized or fragile items may require additional fees, and we recommend contacting us for a custom quote if you are unsure about specific pieces.
Rug Shipping
Rugs valued over R18,000 will incur a flat shipping fee of R1,500 per rug. Rugs under this value are charged at standard courier rates based on size, weight, and destination. Rugs are typically delivered rolled; please allow 1 to 2 days for them to flatten naturally once unrolled.
Ready to Ship Items
Items marked as Ready to Ship will be dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks from the order date. Transit time adds an extra 1 to 3 weeks depending on your location. Please note that Made to Order or backordered products are not classified as Ready to Ship.
Local Delivery (Gauteng Only)
We offer local delivery within a 50 km radius of Johannesburg (postal code 2195) for a flat rate of R300. Items are delivered within 2 to 3 working days after dispatch. This option includes most decor, lighting, and furniture items, subject to availability of white glove service.
Same Day & Next Day Delivery
We provide same-day or next-day delivery for eligible decor and accessories within a 15 km radius of our Johannesburg studio. Orders placed before 12:00 PM qualify for same-day service; otherwise, delivery will occur the next business day. This excludes large items such as furniture, framed artwork, rugs, and lighting.
In-Store Pickup
In-store pickup is available from our Johannesburg showroom for eligible items. Pickup times are Monday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. You will be notified once your item is ready, usually within 1 to 2 working days. Please bring your order confirmation and valid identification when collecting.
