The waffle Weave Jumper is cut a size larger (ie 2-3 on our patterns for a 1-2 Years Garment) as the fabric has a significant shrinkage rate, it thus still shrinks after a few washes so it does look bigger than what it will eventually be after wash day/s.
This fabric softens after every wash. We prewash this fabric to make room for shrinkage, but do expect a continued shrinkage. * please note due to the natural composition of this fabric it does still change form after a few wash days, we do prewash this fabric before we cut and then wash the finished garments in a detergent free wash (so they will arrive a bit stiff, but that’s because we know your little ones skins are different and we don’t want anything to affect our nomads with sensitive skin) we recommend washing them before wearing them too.
